چکیده

Rail corrugation is usually generated in modern railway transportations, such as high-speed railway, urban and heavy-haul railway. It one of the major excitations to wheel–rail dynamic interaction, which will cause extra vibration noise, failures, or even risk derailment vehicle its components. A dynamics model a locomotive considering traction power from electric motor wheelset through gear transmission employed investigate nonlinear responses locomotive. This couples motions vehicle, track, together. In this model, rail corrugation, contact, time-varying mesh stiffness, backlash are considered. Then, numerical simulations performed reveal The calculated results indicate that different phenomenon can be observed under excitation with amplitude wavelength. high frequency vibrations excited by stiffness modulated low caused corrugation. However, likely vanish chaotic conditions some level increases generally amplitude. lengths have been found more responsible for system, should concerned greatly during operation. Meanwhile, involvement systems between wheelsets excitations.

Analytical Crack Propagation Scenario for Gear Teeth and Time-Varying Gear Mesh Stiffness

In this paper an analytical crack propagation scenario is proposed which assumes that a crack propagates in the tooth root in both the crack depth direction and the tooth width direction, and which is more reasonable and realistic for non-uniform load distribution cases than the other presented scenarios. An analytical approach is used for quantifying the loss of time-varying gear mesh stiffnes...

Dynamics of Hypoid Gear Transmission With Nonlinear Time-Varying Mesh Characteristics

The coupled translation-rotation vibratory response of hypoid geared rotor system due to loaded transmission error excitation is studied by employing a generalized 3-dimensional dynamic model. The formulation includes the effects of backlash nonlinearity as well as time-dependent mesh position and line-of-action vectors. Its mesh coupling is derived from a quasi-static, 3-dimensional, loaded to...

Rail corrugation detection by Gabor filtering

Inspection of the rail state in order to detect defects is one of the basic tasks in railway maintenance. Rail defects exhibit different properties and are divided in various categories relating to the type and position of flaws on the rail. In this paper, we propose a technique, based on texture analysis of rail surface, to detect and classify a particular class of defects: corrugation.

Finite time stabilization of time-delay nonlinear systems with uncertainty and time-varying delay

In this paper, the problem of finite-time stability and finite-time stabilization for a specific class of dynamical systems with nonlinear functions in the presence time-varying delay and norm-bounded uncertainty terms is investigated. Nonlinear functions are considered to satisfy the Lipchitz conditions. At first, sufficient conditions to guarantee the finite-time stability for time-delay nonl...
